Is Batman inc a mistake?

With Batman inc's first issue out now it is the start of a new era in Batman. Although at first it was exciting to hear of the idea by Grant Morrison, after reading issue #1, i am very disappointed. The story arc in itself is not the same Batman i have been reading all these year's. Batman leaving Gotham City to help out other country's does not seem like something he would do. Batman's job was always to help clean the streets of Gotham City which is not done, so seen him leave while the city is still full of bad guy's to help out other countries just does not sound like the Batman i have loved for year's. Also with Robin(Dick Grayson) retaining the role as Batman in Gotham making Bruce Wayne change his suit. Issue #1 involving Mr.Unknown as the character that Batman is looking for just does not seem that interesting enough even with the help of Catwomen. Overall i was disappointed in the direction they are taking Batman and bringing him into a franchise. 
David Finch has started his own Batman series entitled " The Dark Knight" which of course reminds everyone of Christopher Nolan's great movie. This Batman story is more promising which deals with the supernatural in Gotham. Written and art work by David Finch which is a good reason alone to read the issue #1
